Hello Everyone
Yesterday I picked up a Bally 7200. I have a 7000 already
The gentleman I bought from says at one time he played it. He says he inherited it from the previous homeowner.
It needed a new battery and I changed that today. However when I did a p10 chip clear and went through the setting page (only the ones like Door, bill validator, and such.) the main screen come up and said "Game Disabled" - No games available to play.
Any ideas what's wrong? Please help!
Any help is appreciated!!!
THANK YOU
I have included picots of the screen and the board.

Bump....Please help

If you open the door and turn the reset key, do the games show up in any way? If they are "shaded" then you have to select each game individually.
If not you should probably go through the entire clear procedure.
-
No they don’t show up. I’ve done the entire clear procedure a few times. Nothing

Hey hey,
Now my memory is shot but a little more information is needed. Your screen shot showing "Bank:" tells me this is a Bally Gamemaker. However I think this is not a "normal" Bally Gamemaker. The way to check is to turn jackpot key with the door ajar. Find "Memory Test", then find "eprom checksum" pick and let load. It will list your Mains(MO and M1} and all your games with Smi numbers and other info. The last two numbers on your mains will determine your version such as 20, 23, 24. Also I think mains are listed at the top of this screen. What does outside glass/cabinet look like? Is it "Gamblers Choice"?

Yes it’s a gamblers choice version.
I can open the menu but I can’t get Into the other setting other than accounting. The others won’t let me touch them.
-
Here’s a close up of the chips in it, if it helps.

You have 11 mains. I can find no info on site. I believe the Gamblers Choice was done by a different(CEI) or sub company of Bally. A few members here may have one and you will get lucky. However the screen shot you show is usually only avail. with door closed. Your screen shot also shows "Door just closed". Door must be open, and turn key. You only have one key switch on the side? Door switch not working properly if door was open?

I’ve done it with the door opened and closed.

I found the problem. The door was set to mechanical
And it’s optical. Now I got into setting and turned them on. :)

Hey Richard... he did say it worked before the battery change.
It should work as is shouldn't it without different mains?
(I had a Gamblers Choice version by United Games. I had to change all the game chips and mains to get it back to "normal" Bally.)
CaptainAmerica: Did you turn DIP switches 7 and 8 (at DIPSWITCH 1) ON before the clear, then off again when removing the clear chip?
-
Everything works now. It was the door setting issue and that the setting are slightly different than my other Game Maker. My other game maker is a true Bally one.
Now I just need some different game chips

Great to hear!
Ricker knows his stuff!!
I believe he's got some Bally GameMaker eeproms available but if not, send me a PM.
-
Apparently the games are proprietary to this kind of Gamblers Choice. I tried a eprom from my other machine in it and it didn’t like it.
-
Captain, you are correct. Although they use the same board, it's the mains that control it all. Your Gamblers Choice mains are unique to the game chips, ie. the CEI version mains #11 are coded to be used with specific game chips developed by them and/or Bally. Some of your games are not found on the Bally Gamemaker platform though. Conversely, limited game availability for the Gamblers Choice as they were not as widely avail. as Gamemaker. I also think your mains are for export as it uses "Bank"vs credits/$ amount. Perhaps you can change that, don't know. Anyway,
:congrats:

When I put in US currency it does show up so I don’t know as far as that but it is working. Would just like another slot machine chip to put in. It has one empty slot open.
-
Hey Ricker, do you have any EPROMs for this game for sale?
-
I have none for your Gamblers Choice platform. You can post a want to buy/trade in the classifieds . A member may have other games.
-
I might have a couple. I need to check. The chips are just in a box somewhere. They came off my Gamblers Choice (United Games) machine. I'm not exactly sure though if that's the same as what you have.
-
I think those will work. Let me know what you have. Thank you

Its hard to see from the picture, but check the jumper for the battery - make sure it's on.
