Title: Rant: eBay seller homeslotmachines
Post by: RB on November 25, 2015, 10:08:11 PM
 :wtf1:

I've been on eBay 17+ yrs. Never have I not paid for an item but this may be the first. Purchased a hopper & a shelf wheel from homeslotmachines in Clearfield, Utah. Shipping $31.05 for the hopper, $4 for the shelf wheel. Asked seller for an invoice to reflect shipping of both items. Obviously the shelf wheel can go in with the hopper. Now after I've agreed to purchase he raised the shipping to $42.20. Sent him a message immediately but so far no response. Has anyone else been scammed by this seller?

I've not dealt with that seller, but if they change the terms or shipping costs after the sale without a good reason then I wouldn't feel obligated to pay. Maybe someone screwed up when preparing the invoice. Since you likely want the items I'd try again to contact them and find out what's going on. With the holiday this week maybe the boss is out and some yoyo is filling in. If you haven't paid I'd think they will get back to you to see what's up. There may be a way to ask ebay about a possible seller misdeed, you can check what your ebay options are on the sale for a dispute or something. From what I've heard ebay tends to take the side of the buyer, so filing some type of complaint or dispute on the auction will cause ebay to contact the seller and that will get their attention, especially if they sell a lot of items and don't want the negative fallout.

To me I'd think they would combine the items into one box and you wouldn't pay anymore than $34.15 for shipping.

Good luck, it may just be a mistake on their end.

Ron, let me know if that's Jeff Piersanti.  He's based out of Ogden, UT and I bought my S2000 and Game King from him years ago.  I drove out to his place and met him in person.  Great guy.  Not sure if this is the same guy or not as Clearfield is a bit further south from Ogden.

Thanks,
Jason

No matter who it is. if they change the cost of anything after the sale is complete just file a complaint with Ebay. You'll either get your money back or the seller has to honor the sale as stated.

:I_agree_1:   what's he sending it 1st  class? I would just cancel order he's making   $$$ on hopper now he wants to make money on shipping too?

I could see a rant if you haven't settled anything with the seller in a reasonable time. You just purchased the stuff yesterday and now it's a holiday (weekend) for some people. Give the guy a break and wait for his response.

I agree that you should only pay for shipping cost stated in both of the auctions.

Yes Jason his name is Jeff. It's all settled. I got a corrected invoice at 6:15 am this morning.

 :thank_you:

Most vendors would have  combined the items and you would only paid the $30. But could be you need to bring it to their  attention and get the  best  on the  shipping. Ask them for a review of the shipping.

I hope this vendor is okay.  Just now paid for my Emerald Rose  new in box game kit from him.  Was not cheap on Ebay!  Hope I like the game.

Bill,
It's not the same guy. I was watching that kit but didn't bid. Too rich for me. Would've been more interested in a RT 3C. It's a Wild Cherry clone, SB100094. Hope you enjoy it.

It should be fun, and another thing that attracted me to it is the lower numbered SB chip which allows use of all sound simms.  I prefer those kits, so all the slots here do not just make a 42 simm noise.  Fun to have different sound on every machine.

I bought my Game King 4.3 chips from this seller. Communication was poor, as my initial question about unlocking games wasn't answered. But eventually when I followed up, I got a timely response and was also able to buy a key chip from him. Good items and packaged well.
