My P1 prom doesn't match my reel strips. I have a 3 reel 5 line military fruit slot. The P1 installed is a 550288.
I have two options I quess:
1. Edit or program a P1 bin file to match reel strip symbols and payout to what I have.
Would anybody know how? I've used a hex editor to edit the file. But the code (in text) comes up as garbage except for the bottom Copyright Bally stuff.
2. Find a P1 prom that matches my strips and payout. I've found multiple machines with similar payout and reels. E1347, E1228. That prom is a E755-62.
Would anybody know what 6 digit number that prom is? And if anybody would of any P1 proms that match my reels and payout. Please see images below.
My reel mech says E1228 and the strips say 2271,2273 and 3 102 2273. The strips all start with the star symbol.

For years, I'd been trying to find someone who actually knows how the coding works, has compiler info, etc. to write and modify the E series code, but no one here still alive seems to have any real info on it. I have accumulated dozens of P1 chips with code, and really can't make heads or tails out of it. The PROM code is compiled and applicable to the microprocessor, so having a cal-doc would be the holy grail to these. But back in the 80s, all that stuff was closely guarded and kept locked away for fear of retaliation from the gaming commission, I think.
Still waiting for someone on this forum to interject....
