Remove the AA Batteries When Storing Your CPU |
(1/1) |
Eddiie:
I suggest removing the AA batteries from your CPU if there are any before storing the CPU. YEah yeah, lithium, won't leak, etc.. I swear I had some that leaked. Just remove them to be safe. Remember the IGT IPC Progressive Controllers? Many were lost because of leaking batteries. |
Stayouttadabunker:
That's like me forgetting every fall to add some STA-BIL to my weed-whacker's gas tank. Then come in the spring, I'm cursing up and down as it doesn't start up like it used to.... :banghead: :Tongue_Out: |
Badbaud:
I can testify that Lithium batteries do leak. We just got another S+ MPU and backplane in for repair and the battery had leaked down the board and onto the backplane board. A total loss so we sold the customer another set. |
