I'm afraid I have some rather bad news. My cancer has returned and even spread. I am currently at home with Hospice as the doctors say I only have another week or 2 left. You have all been good friends and I will miss each and every one of you. Goodbye

Post by: therockinelvis on March 03, 2018, 07:09:28 PM: OK guy's. I got to see Denny today. He was very tired, but also very excited waiting for me to get there. We spent about 4 hours there. A lot of talking and in true Denny form, he told a few jokes. Even though today was only the third time I saw Denny, He is like a lifetime friend to me. He had wanted to see me perform live and we had planned to do a show at the next get together. We really thought he was going to beat this. He definitely fought a hard battle. I will miss him like crazy. Here's one of the jokes he told. A blonde was walking along the river side. She looked across the river and saw another blonde walking too. She yelled across the river, How can I get to the other side? The other blonde said Silly, you are on the other side. Another was about a guy in an oxygen tent with an oxygen mask on. He asked the nurse if his testicle's were black. She asked what he said and he repeated. So she lifted the sheet and gave him a good check the told him they we not black. Then he took his mask off and told her what he said was Are my test results back?

Thanks for keeping us posted. I never knew Denny personally but I was invited to his party. I will make sure that his family and Denny are in my prayers tonight. Rest In Peace Denny you will be missed.

Before Denny passed he asked me to Honor him by singing at his service. I am proud to have said yes. His request is for "How Great Thou Art". Will be the hardest for me in this situation. Denny fought so hard and was looking forward to seeing me in concert. He said he listened to my CD's and watch my DVD all the time. I have a Florist checking on doing a "Slot Machine" arrangement and will tag it with his friends from NLG

Everyone here is so patient and generous with there time and knowledge and from what I have read Denny was no different. We all will cross over that line one day and what is important is how we live our lives while we are here, everyone of us needs to remember, Here today gone tomorrow, theres no better time than now to tell your loved ones how much you love them. The most important things in your life should be God, Family, Friends in that order and everything else is less important....... Denny I wish I would have had a chance to know you, God Bless you all....

I received donations from members that never knew Denny along with long time online friends. You guy's sent a total of $325. and I added $125 to get the slot flowers. All in attendance loved them. In true Denny form, he recorded a message on cassette. It was played for us and Denny thanked everyone in his life. Told a joke, then said good-bye, and that he loved us all.
