Title: What is this S+ Reel Chip? Marked SS013433 Type 20
Post by: Amechanic on May 21, 2017, 05:49:12 PM
I'm going thru some SS reel Eproms.. I entered this one SS013433 type 20 in the sights search, but nothing came up? Does anyone  know what game it goes to? I'm no S+ expert, far from it.. :Scratch-Head: I usually work on S2000 and early Bally slots..

Gary, I checked out a type 20 game (Double Chance SP1228) and it could be an SS chip for that or that type of game. One of the 2 reset key games, where a jackpot to credit option is available. I believe this is usually a High rollers type of machine. Not much info on these type of machines, and there has been some posts about the 2 jackpot keys. All I could find. Sorry.

I was wondering if it was from a Tournament Machine.. I was wondering too if it's something worth saving? I was looking for a couple SS Chips that I could use to program a Ten Times Pay Deluxe machine I'm building. I don't have any spare blank chips for the S+ format. I was looking for one I could re-use.. What eprom is used to program most SS Chips? So far I have one M27C64A-10F1.. I have found 2 sets of Stepper GM1 & GM2 chips, SG000198, and SG000129 that I can use in my build.. I just need a usable SS donor chip..

I found this IGT document on the SS013433 but I'm not familiar enough with the IGT world to know if there is any useful info in it.

Double Spin 5 Times Pay is ss13433  listed as type 20 without the "0" after ss

1: It's always worth saving the data from the chip. Just read the chip in your EPROM programmer and save the binary file in case you ever want/need it in the future.

2: As I'm sure you know, not every chip is erasable. You'll have to look under the label to see if there's a window to erase it with a UV eraser, or look up the chip number to see if it's an EEPROM which can be electronically erased. Some IGT S+ chips were burned onto non-erasable one-time use chips.

That's why I asked what game this chip went to. It had a window under the sticker that I could feel. I am still learning how my chip burner works slowly. I just need to buy s few extra 27C64 chips to have on hand. Thanks again guys.
