Amechanic

When I found a Bally slot machine I was thrilled to get it. I knew after 40 years some bonehead along the way probably FUBAR the slot machine. I'm a fabricator, a mechanical person who enjoys working on complex problems, FUBAR projects, so this was a great task for me.

:drool04: I have always wanted a slot machine 100% made in the UNITED STATES, the finest quality and Bally is one of them. Top it off I got the base with the slot machine.

Not knowing squat about a slot machine, I knew that finding books, diagrams, and knowledgeable people would be a successful restoration of this slot machine, not just making it function but restoring back it to factory specifications.

:applause: When I joined this forum  Amechanic was the one who answered my questions, was very knowledgeable, and helped me discover the problems and find solutions for this slot machine. He helped me understand this slot machine, I disassembled everything, going through everything finding the FUBARS others had left behind attempting to make this slot machine function. I ferret out the issues, restoring one issue at a time with the help of Amechanic who always responded to my inquiries. I sent him emails, and he responded, he may not have all of the solutions, however his diagnostic input solved my issues. :applause:

 :thank_you: :thank_you:
I still have a long way to go finding missing parts, however the mechanical and electrical are complete. The parts are important to restore it to factory condition. I will keep looking for them, they will pop up somewhere on the internet.  It's nice to know that a Bally slot machine has a new life again, it will be a great addition to  my sun room/Alaska room.

Thanks for all the kind words. I’m far from a expert but I do my best to answer everyone’s question. I know that I should have a couple of the parts your looking for, but it’s just too dang cold to go digging in my parts boxes in the garage. Once again that’s for you kind words.  :hail:
