I have been on the hunt for at least one Bally S5500 board. I got a email from a guy a few weeks ago that said have you checked with Glen via lontorlor@aol.com. He has a Bally S5500 board he will part with.  It was from DO_NOT_REPLY@newlifegames.com. That kind of through up a flag but I emailed him and he got back to me with pictures and price. It was tested, new battery and leave in mains. His name was Glenn Osbey, He gave his phone number to text him about the deal. I should have called him. Went though PayPal and sent him $147.00. I've dealt with others on here and other places and payed that way without a problem. said he will ship and send tracing info when he got home from work. I think he was from Florida, and that's the last I have heard from him. The phone number is disconnected and no such email address any more. I'm so pissed. I'm self employed and don't make a lot of money. So when I have to save up to spent money on my toys, even a small about like this. I did start the process with PayPal to try to get my money back, and going to check with my bank to see if they have anything to safe guard me.
So be warned theirs asshole scammers out there and on here praying on people.

Did you send the payment as "paying for goods or services" or "friends and family"?
If its someone I haven't dealt with before I always send as paying for good and services.I think Paypal will go after them if they dont send your item if you choose that option.

I sent it friends and family. I should have sent it goods and services, but he said to make it easier for him and not be charged any fees to send it friends and family. He had me so snowed, he had pictures of a board and new about a new battery and chips.

It sucks when your a nice trusted good person and trust that others are also. I hate that now I feel so naïve and want to get my money back even if its screwing someone else (which I wont do). But you know the feeling. I'm glad there is a lot of good people on here and I can warn others that this guy used NLG to make me believe he was legit.

Please be aware that there is nothing to stop this person under a different name / email address from setting up other shill accounts.
We try to moderate this but its a cat and mouse game.

Case in point: We once had two members flaming each other - and turning to other NLG members to get them to take sides.
It turned out that both accounts belonged to the same (psychopathic) person who was just trying to stir up trouble on the site.

Per PayPal - I link all my purchases to my credit card - that way if I don't get resolution from PP - I can have the transaction reversed by the CC company.

I NEVER pay friends and family. I add extra money to cover the fee for them. Keeps you protected. I had one that paypal didn't trust. They would not release his money until I received and reported to paypal. All was good, but glad they were watching

Just an FYI here. For your future messages, the "DO_NOT_REPLY" appears on every message received (via regular Email) from NLG members, as this is directing you to the internal NLG mail system. You can reply once you click that link that directs you back to the site.  :yes:
