Welcome to NLG

I have a one of these gathering dust. Maybe time to dig it out and learn a bit of linux.
How do you do the Mark/Space parity on this and how do you develop code for these devices.

PS - these these are cheap but you can do probably make a Arduino version for well under $5 using chinese arduino clones.

Cool

How do you go about writing C programs to access the serial port once you have the board booted with Armbian ?
Looks like wiring (On which Arduino is based) will run on the Orange Pi.

For non technical users is it feasible to provide a SD image with Armbian and custom code so all  they need to do is load the Orange Pi with this for a plug and play solution?

Hi

Unfortunately Armbian does not seem to be supported but this project does what you need for raspbian.

Hello Bogan

Orange PI is up and running with Armbian.
Any chance you could walk us through a basic program to poll a SAS machine.
I think once i can get this going it should be easy enough the re use code done for Arduino for validation and system bonussing.

Ian
