Title: WBA-12-ss bill validator no download error

I'm working on a S2000 machine.

When I fire it up, the bill validator doesn't cycle. I get an error:

Bill validator no download

What does this mean? Is my bill validator dead? If I have to buy another one, do I just need to purchase the transport, or the entire assembly?

I swapped it out w/ another bill validator and the machine runs fine.

It means there is a software error. Have it reflashed or replace the chip if it happens to have an eprom. You did indicate WBA12 which is a flash unit, 13 is eprom based.

Not sure if RB does software reprogramming on bill validators, if not here is an example of a place that does, read at the bottom of their webpage. They also sell WBA units.

I do not. I could only provide a chip for eprom models. Ken at Ohio Gaming is a good guy. Great recommendation!
