Like always, the best way to identify a machine is to post some photos of it. There's enough people here with years of varied experience that someone will likely recognize it.

Welcome to NLG!

I *think* that might be an S+ slant top machine (or a PE+), but we'll see what the experts here say. The front door underneath opens and then you can release a catch/latch that lets you lift up the top, it is hinged at the back, so after releasing the latch you lift up on the front where the padded arm rest is. Inside the lower cabinet will be the main control circuit board, called the "mpu" board. Photos of it will definitely identify it. The mpu circuit board is mounted to a metal tray, sometimes that tray has a round black knob for removing the mpu, just pull upward to disconnect it from the "motherboard" that it is plugged into. It is a very good idea to carefully inspect all of this stuff before powering it up. Sometimes there are loose coins, screws etc that have rattled around and gotten somewhere they shouldn't, could cause a short circuit or other problem. Also you will want to look at the mpu board to make sure the battery has not leaked on the board, and if the battery is dead (likely) then you will need to replace it.

The front door originally had a lock on it, if you don't have the key and it is locked you will need to drill the lock. If you'e not been inside the machine how do you know the hopper is missing, the seller said that?

Hope you had some help moving it, those things are heavy - and it's usually not because of all the coins inside!

This machine is mostly fixed , repair man found a new dollar stuck in the quarter coin hopper spinner
Now looking for a couple of parts
The key tumbler that opens the top is missing so I need to find one or a way to open the top with the front panel on. sticking a finger in the hole is not good
also one of the hold buttons is a bit sticky or failing tyo operate all the time Replace for fix ?
Thanks for this site it helps
Larry

If you open the front panel, you might be able to reach the release mechanism for the top but I don't know for sure! I had an s plus version of this so I believe it's similar. And, if the front panel is as heavy as my old one, be careful! They love to drop out and on your toes!

Not sure what you mean by top key part?
The entire lock should come out. I'd remove it and post a WTB in the classifieds or check the vendors on the home page here on NLG.
Does the button depress? You can remove it and inspected but be careful - they can be brittle. Sometimes there's just something jammed in the spring that keeps it from depressing fully.

Your best bet is to post a picture of the lock in question. As for your button, my guess is that it's dirt or sticky with spilled drinks, or just hand dirt that gets down inside the buttons and causes them to stick. You will be surprised how dirty they get when you take one apart.

Keep pushing that button it should start working better all the time.

Put a couple hundred coins in hopper.

I have an extra complete bill validator door assy with lock and key for that machine.

Thanks for all the replies
The lock part is there all I need is the correct key and tumbler , maybe one from a motorhome storage door will work
As far as the button I will live with it for now , but looking for options when it fails
