have many cashflow boxes that won't work ,in any unit while other work in same unit can't see and thing different , same model # , what am I missing?
-
Does the box have a sensor in it?
If it does then easitrax needs to be turned off.
Can try blowing the dirt out of them.
-
where do I find sensor? , how do I turn off easy track
thanks
-
Look inside of the cash box .. look for the white round sensor.
There is some software out there to do that.
-
I'll look thanks again

I thought the only way to turn off easytrax was to reflash the head? Also look at the green control board in the cage, if it has a daughtercard, it has easytrax enabled typically.

Just use their software (I don't remember what it's called) with the settings for it not to recognize easitrax.

my#1 helper ( wife) did get 5 of them going by taking them apart and give them a good cleaning of clear plastic
again thanks

You both are correct, using the STS program you would need to go into the configuration menu and change the RF Tag setting to "not present", then the head will not look for the sensor.

Mei boxes have sensitive optics. If your boxes have screws, (newer ones) just remove the mechanism for easy access to the optics, and clean them up. It's a common enough floor repair at a casino.
Life it much tougher if the mechanism is riveted in, an ultrasonic tub bath works for those.
