Title: S+ Spin Til You Win Display Question
Post by: Amechanic on November 07, 2017, 02:38:10 PM
i have an S+ Spin Til You Win game. I want to change a few settings like max credits, hopper pay out, and maybe even the music playing when in the bonus spins. I have the test/option menu up and in #4 is see the number 4452 in the winner paid display and in the credits display I have the number 0804. The winner paid display flashes between the number 4452, and then to just the #4 in the far right of the winner played display. Does this mean my SP Chip is an 804, and that my SS is the 4452? Both numbers seem to be correct for this game by doing some  research here, but what does the #4 mean? Is that because this is a type 4 game? What set chip is needed for this game for me to make my changes? I have a S+ 15 set. I have a 10mhz MPU and my bill acceptor is a WBA 12/13 running the latest software available. I have a S+ Ram Clear chip, but from what I've read I shouldn't have to use it? I need some advice. I have the PSR print out on the SP804, but it's not helping my much.

Gary according to the PSR for SP804 Set 05, 15, or 17 will work. If you are setting EFT (electronic funds transfer) up you need the 17. But since you aren't doing that, the Set 15 should work just fine. On my Triple Diamond (Type 0) it flashes a 0 in the winner paid window. I'm guessing that's just your machine type. Spin til You Win is a Type 4. Shouldn't need to do a clear on this.

I was to set my hopper payout at a 200 coin max, but I would like my max credits to be 9999. I have both dip switches 1 and 2 turned off on the MPU. So using a 17 set should allow me to make these changes? The PSR Sheet says that under menu 2 should allow me to change the reel tunes in the bonus spins? How do you know what tunes or music are available?

Well according to the PSR Your maximum credit limit will be equal to the hopper limit. I believe the EFT settings are for casino equipment. You can give it a try but I never set any of mine that way because I believe I read that those settings are for casino only. This chip sounds similar to the SP 731 Shortrackskater is using. His hopper limit is his credit limit also. Some of those chips limit those settings. Here are the parts from the PSR about limits and going through the self test mode. While it doesn't say it here, on my machine (different SP chip) after making a change you advance through the pages to the end to save changes. Here's a link from Mark's earlier post. Your chip may save changes the same.

MAXIMUM CREDIT LIMIT
Automatically matches the maximum hopper setting that can be set by DIP switch or in the self test mode.  If the SAS EFT option is selected, the maximum limit cannot exceed 9,999.

SELF TEST MODE
Pressing the self test switch or the Bet One Credit player switch “pages” forward through the self test mode, and pressing the Play Max Credits player switch pages backward.  Changes or selections in the options pages may be made by pressing the Change switch or turning the jackpot reset key.  During a tilt condition, only the WAMM/CCOM machine address may be selected or altered.  The numbers appearing below enclosed in < > represent the self test page number, [ ] represent the option number, and { } represent the setting.  The self test pages appear in the following order:

Then it advances on through the tests.

Ok let me ask this. The SP804 seems to limit my game to the same credit limit to hopper payout. Can I use a different SP Chip on Spin til you win like a 731 or 1271 that might allow this hopper to be set at 200 and my credits to 9999?

Yes you can but the 731 is the same credit/hopper limit as the 804. The 1271 is the newer chip that allows a higher credit limit but may limit the song choice as in Shortrackskaters case...You're in the Money. I'll do some reading and see if a Type 4 allows more credit limit and more song choices. I'm like you, I like high credit limit and low hopper payout. The song part is the tough one. I'll see what I can find. Someone else may jump in and if they do awesome.

Okay, an SP1048 looks like maybe a candidate. 10MHZ, programmable credit limits, hopper limits and song choices. Maybe something to look at. I'll leave a link and you can check it out.

Thanks for your help Dave. Now I just need to locate a SP1271 and a SP1048 to test in my Spin.
