Title: Strange stacker issue
Post by: Nepa Coin Op on December 14, 2017, 09:38:10 AM
I have one of these on power up when the BV cycles it's not a smooth cycle it sounds like it's struggling then gives a 55 error when it boots.....with a known good head, IF board and box from another working game it does this .... what am I overlooking ?? There's not much left other than the BV frame left ....
Any insight is appreciated
Thank you

I'd look for obstructions, clean/lubricate the transport and make sure everything is seated properly

Most likely a weak slot optic on the transport, been running into that a lot lately.
I built a transport tester and the intensity of my tester LED's tells me which one to replace.

heres what Ive done, I have a few boxes and heads... tested them all in a working machine... with a known good head, IF board and box I still get the 55.... which optic or sw is that error related to ?

as far as poor or struggling cyclying on a few of the boxes, when looking at them I dont see anything abnormal... what slows them down like that ? where is the best place to lube them and what to use ??

thanks

I always cleaned and lubed everywhere a gear shaft was supported by a bushing with a spot of 3 in 1 oil. Did this on the transports and the cash box gearing. Also, open the heads and clean the optics path and roller well with alcohol or windex. People argue against windex, but it's all I use and I've never had an issue

There is a front optic and a back optic on the transport if one of them is weak you will get a error.
