Hi,
I've got an Aristocrat MK6 Timber Wolf machine that doesn't run.
- When it first starts up, the button lights come on, but shuts down off after a short time.
- The bill acceptor lights up, cycles for a while, then stops.
- On the screen there's about 8-10 lines of startup code and then that blanks out.
- The printer's arrow light stays on.
- The fluorescent lights light up fine top and bottom.
- There's no hopper.
I've replaced the power supply, no change, but haven't gone much further. I'm at a bit of loss of what to try next. Anyone ever see this? Anybody got an idea? :)
Thanks.

I had a similar issue, and the solution started with removing both the logic board and the com board, cleaning the contacts, cleaning the contacts on the memory stick, reinserting the boards and a ram clear. I hope this helps you.

Hi Don,
Thanks, good advice. Reminds me of the old days of blowing on Nintendo game cartridge connectors.
Just on a flyer, I disconnected the video screen and plugged in an external monitor and it played fine. The game was working, just no display. I have another video screen on its way.
What threw me off was that I was looking at things with the door open. If I had closed it and put money in, I probably would have discovered it earlier. Live and learn.

Be sure to have the logic fully seated.
The logic board turns on the power supply.Could be a bad logic board or power supply.
Try putting a different logic board in and see if it does the same thing. If that dont correct it swap power supplies.
There is a jumper plug you can make to force the power supply to turn on.

Wouldn't a bad power supply or logic board cause the game just not to work? My wife's been using the game since I hooked up the external monitor while we wait for the replacement video to be delivered :)

Im sorry I didnt read the part about connecting a external monitor.

Lol, I do that all the time. :banghead: Kind of like reading directions :Scratch-Head:

Hello. I'm having a similar issue as your post about a boot loop. I have changed the battery on I/O board, new mpu board, tried clear chips. No luck.. I have a new PS on the way. So just wanted to ask if your symptoms were the same? Would it show code, the reset and show code again? The fact it shows up on the monitor makes me think it is ok but so far nothing else is working. Thanks

Will do. At this point I have heard a few different possible causes. I may just order a LCD monitor because it would be a nice upgrade anyway. I'll post what finally does the trick.

Turned out to be the Power Supply. Installed the good one, went to a loading game screen, then started up. Hope this information can help others. Thanks.
