Title: Bally 5500 Blazing 7s won't boot up

When I turn the game on, all 3 reels lock up and all the buttons on the deck light up. The bill validator does cycle but the reels don't turn slowly to calibrate and the display window is blank.

Maybe the PS. On the very bottom left side of the backplane is some voltage test points. Look at the MPU, is there a red LED flashing? What is the history on this machine.

Red light is flashing every 2 seconds, as far as history, I just got the machine & brought it home. Battery was good but that's as far as I have got so far

Sounds like we have the same issue I changed all the batteries but the CD won't light or open. Help

It has a DVD  but it won't open or light

I've never heard of a Bally 5500 with a DVD player?   :scratch-head_2:

Can you post a picture of your machine?


Br549....can you swap a known good  power supply from another cabinet to check if it'll boot up??

Problem solved, it was a bad MPU, thanks guys for the input on the other stuff
