Title: Trying to Identify these PE+ boards
Post by: mrSidX on April 23, 2015, 11:34:35 PM
Hey guys,

perhaps you can give me some insight on these two boards I have,

I'm am new to these and I hope to find out a little more info, mainly to pin down the games that I can get for these boards. Looking for compatibility and such,
also I could have sworn I posted this topic somewhere, but I can't find it... here is goes:

Are these Superboards?
What kind of Setup Chip do I need to enable my bill validator (DBV-200)? And can it take the upgrade chip for the new bills?
I am also looking for a multigame setup, and heard about a "breakout" or attachment board you plug into your MPU board?
I would ideally like to have a setup with all the (or as many as possible) poker games available for this machine..

These boards come out of a 1995 IGT PE+ Bonus Poker machine

Thanks a bundle!

Ok, found a website from the old site that hekped ID the boards. The long bank of resistors near the connectors is the key to visual ID. In your case, the 2 pictured are superboards!

Here's the site!

Hi mrSidX.

Your post is a little confusing. Your subject asks to identify your PE boards. Then you ask for;

1. What kind of Setup Chip do I need to enable my bill validator (DBV-200)?

2. Can it take the upgrade chip for the new bills?

3. I am also looking for a multigame setup, and heard about a "breakout" or attachment board you plug into your MPU board?

4. I would ideally like to have a setup with all the (or as many as possible) poker games available for this machine.

This forum is set up to help others with the same problem in the future. Asking multiple questions under a different subject, your
other questions will be hard to find and including the answers.
Hope you understand and can stick to the subject at hand.

Thank you and now back to your regular programing. :propeller:

Hey Ron...

I was afraid I'd get a warning for that! haha

ok, I will work on keeping the questions separate... I just get ahead of myself sometimes :)

The most poker games you have available at once on a PE+ machine is 5.

All known Multi-Poker sets have 5 predetermined games built into the chip set.

With the wingboard you can pick which compatible PE+ DATA roms to install.  So you can get combos that were not available in the Multi-Poker sets.  Plus you can add the later games like Black Jack Bonus, Super Double Bonus and Triple Double Bonus.  And you can with the right DATA rom adjust the payout of say Deuces Wild.  With the DATA rom X000057P your optimal play payout is 100.8% fun for home use or with X000054P you can get the payout down to 91.4%

For home use the best payback for each game type:

        Bonus Poker: X000158P 99.2%
 Bonus Poker Deluxe: X000434P 98.5%
  Deuces Joker Wild: X000430P 97.2% (is there a X000127P @ 99.1%)
        Deuces Wild: X000057P 100.8%
  Deuces Wild Bonus: X002025P 99.5%
       Double Bonus: X000515P 100.2%
 Double Deuces Wild: X000452P 99.6%
Double Double Bonus: X002066P 99.0%
        Joker Poker: X002441P 100.6%
  Loose Deuces Wild: X000508P 99.2%
       Nevada Bonus: X002037P 99.8%
 Super Double Bonus: X002376P 99.7%
Standard Draw Poker: X000006P 100.1%
Triple Double Bonus: X002306P 99.6%
       Triple Bonus: X002042P 99.6%
  Triple Bonus Plus: X002311P 99.8%
   Black Jack Bonus: X002272P 99.4%
         Super Aces: X002372P 99.9%

For Deuces Joker Wild it's known there is a PP0127, but it's not been verified if there's a superboard DATA rom X000127P counter part.

However the wingboards aren't so easy to find these days.

Note: I have since verified that X000057P does indeed exist and has be archived
