This is my first s2000 with MEI unit. It all works well. But how do I remove the cash can ? Is there a release button ? As it starts to come out,then gets hung up.

Mark,
No Release lever. Just pull it out by the yellow handle.
To reinstall, shove it back in.

if it is hanging up then there isn't a lock in the cash can
you can place something over the lip of the lower outer frame to keep the cash can door from catching on it .. like the black piece in the picture .. even a thin piece of cardboard and tape would work if you can get past the look of it or install a lock
edit .. guess the wba cash can in the picture can be confusing .. it is only the black piece in the picture that will allow the mei can to be pulled out without it hanging up when a lock isn't installed on the mei cash can

It should just slide out.
Like Ken Said, the bottom must be catching some where.

It's a metal can in the pic. The release lever is top right side.

he has an mei cash can .. he won't have a wba cash can as in the picture .. the picture is just to show the black piece so the mei door doesn't catch on the metal lip when pulling it out .. mei wont have a lever just pull
okay .. its f'n hot here and really didn't want to go take pictures but i did to eliminate confusion
the one with the black piece in the picture will allow the cash can to be pulled out without hanging up .. the other picture shows why it hangs up (door hangs down) when pulling out when no lock is installed .. some companies put tape on the box which eventually falls off .. guess you could always take the door off .. never tried it though

hot here also ken you should hear the wife bitchin about going up on pallet racks to get games off them , shame I,m only forklift driver, like 110 in warehouse ground level
