HELP with building own display media controller

Hi all and good day,


My mate and I are looking at building our own basic mystery jackpot controller incremented by hard-meter pulse and my task is to build the graphic media controller or server for it but I am clueless where to begin.


I would like to include animation as the background while the different levels of jackpots are incrementing like meters instead of jump. Was advised to use flash for the progressive increment but my knowledge towards flash is 0.


What sort of tools should I consider using to accomplish this task? Eg. VB, flash. And am I correct to [size=78%]assume any video animation file for the background would be possible?[/size]
