A Great day to All. I have a Kortek KTL-170, 25 pin monitor that has a black display. When the GK is turned on, I have a constant green light on control panel and the touchscreen LED is lit up as well. I have touchscreen functions to play a game, just NO picture, (BLACK) I’ve swapped out power supply and T/S board, with NO change in the screen coming to life. I’ve tried shining a flashlight and I don’t see any image. This happened when I moved it, trying to check out another I-GAME. Any thoughts on where to troubleshoot next?

The touchscreen controller has nothing to do with the black screen.
There are two ccfl tubes inside that light up the screen...of course the invertor ballast needs to work to light them up.
Either the tubes are burned out, or the ballast, or both.
Screen might be past lifetime hours, depending on the luminance/ brightness settings...they do NOT last forever.
What model number is the invertor?
Maybe I can help find you one?
At suzo-happ, they have lots of pictures...lol...>>>

Probably bad Inverter board or CCFLs.

Sorry for the delay in responding. The Inverter board has GHO59A, REV5.0 printed on it. I have a GHO53A board, Any idea if I can substitute that board to test it? (Package shows 4CCFL, 12volt)

I don't know if that would be a suitable replacement or not. If not, it may damage the A/D board or something else.

Ok, Thanks for the heads up on that. Does anyone know where I can get the same board?

It's a common part readily available. Some vendors here may have them, or ebay, Get-t, Suzo Happ, etc all will. Google the part number and it will give you a bunch of purchase options.

OK THANK YOU, I will research it and see what I can find. There’s a ton of “Universal” types out there, I don’t know if they will work, I do notice the mounting holes are different. Hopefully that solves the issue. Everything else works fine, I can play the game “blind”, touchscreen is functioning.
