Title: WBA 12 RS232 ID003 device error

I had a working wba 12 rs-232 for my bally
Switched heads to see if a head worked now transporter will not cycle & validator device error
Put working head back in for all testing..
Led on board red so getting power..
Dip switch 1238 led blink
Will not cycle in test mode..

Will a rs-232 kill a transporter?
If I put in another wba12  it cycle and clears validator errors as soon as plugged in
I have cleared system multiple times to see if it helps...
Kinda stumped on this one

If it worked before the head swap...

Does a Bally have a bv power supply? Maybe it died?

Maybe you damaged a wire/connection? Seems not likely but worth looking.

I don't think a RS232 communication head in the wrong machine would cause a big problem, but I don't know what comm bally uses for bv right off hand.

Maybe something in wiring/connections was barely working and you made that worse?

BV door switch problem, maybe?

After clear - is bv enabled?

Just a few things off the top of head.

I have tried in other machines
Transporter worked great..
Have used different plugs & heads
Worked great
Now has power but will not take bill
Light on bevel will not light up
I'm stumped on this one...
