haywire deluxe chip change (will it reset existing options selected?)

 replacing game chip from ss6422 to a better paying chip of ss6417. will this change all my settings and disable bill validator or only change payouts? S+ type 21 haywire deluxe 3 coin 25 cent machine with a SP1085 chip

No, changing the reel chip will not change anything else, it will only raise the payback %, BV will still work.  All credits on machine will be lost.
