SIGMA - What Happened?
« on: October 17, 2021, 10:33:28 PM »
I just picked up a Sigma PT-4B machine that was a one-owner unit since purchased at an auction back in the early 90s.  Excellent condition, everything works, etc, etc...

But what gets me is that upon researching this company, it seems like they had it going on.  They were technological and innovative leaders in the industry and then suddenly, "POOF" they were gone.

What happened to these guys?

Like a lot of other innovative companies the bean counters killed it.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

Yeah, they did have a good brief run.  I know they took most of the engineering department from Games of Nevada back in the early 90's.

I figured as much.  That's too bad.  Seems like they had a lot going for them.  I like this machine as it is in fantastic condition and is a perfect fit and style for the game room but I will rue the day when it needs a part I can't find.

Kind of an interesting side note, but I work only a few miles from where their facility was by the airport.
