Title: Coin Comparitor CC-16 12VDC Red light
Post by: haim890 on June 29, 2021, 10:57:03 PM
Hey,

Hope everyone is doing well. I have an old Sigma "Double your money" SG - 112B machine with an old coin comparitor. Besides from the bill acceptor not working, the coin comparitor seems to be broken too. When I drop a coin in the slot, the coin is dropped back to the player. I believe this coin comparitor is the CC-16 12VDC one--very old. The LED is red, so I tried cleaning the mechanism as well as properly seating the 'example' token. Here is an image of the comparitor:

I am completely stumped. I do not know what is wrong with it :(. Any help would be appreciated! Also if nothing else works and someone has a replacement I can buy, that would be great!

Thanks!

Try replacing the quarter with a different one. If that does not help, turn the pot adjustment fully CCW .

remove the cover plate on the cc-16,  take a picture of the board, I may have replacements.

there were  two types of board,  check to see if your bill unit is enabled,  it done through the menu.

I have 2 Sigma 112B and both comparitors have the red LED light. Make sure you check all of the connections and follow the wires back the PCB board on the door.
I took a picture of my comparitor and will attach it for your info. If all connections are ok I'm like Jim I would think it could be the board is bad. Hope this helps.

Hey, thanks for the help! So i am guessing that all the comparitors in the Sigma 112bs have red lights even when functional? Thats really weird. Anyways, with all the help here, I manage to clean up everything/reset the machine to get it working again (with the red light). I was initially confused, but i guess it works.

Thanks!

Hey,

Thanks for the response. Somehow I got it working again by cleaning and resetting the machine, though I can seem to get the menu on my machine. By using the reset key and plugging in the right wires, I saw the payouts and inputs, but no menu. I am kind of a newbie to these machines, so if you know where to find the menu, please LMK.

Thanks!

Thank you! This worked!
