Fortune 1 convert from 5 cents to 25 cents??

I don't think that is the D8 location. See my photo I added earlier and here:

EDIT - yes, location D8 is a socket, no chip installed in it, that is where the options jumpers would get installed. Your photo in prev post shows the labels of the game software, perhaps someone can identify it and say what options it supports. There are other video poker software chips you can install.

According to the jumper options sheet (posted earlier) you would add a jumper across the empty socket from pin 2 to pin 15 to get Credit Mode. You can do this with a short piece of solid wire, not too large gauge. Can slip each end down into the socket contacts. Or if you add a dipswitch you would simply flip dip#2 to ON. You would need to get a dipswitch that is the correct width and length as the socket at D8.

That's correct, that's why I said the jumper options may depend on the game software installed and that you'd probably have to try different jumpers to see what your machine's options are. They made several different versions of video poker for the Fortune 1, you will be lucky to find a document for your exact game software. On the game software in your machine no jumper might select 10 cents and adding a jumper selects 25 cents or 5 cents, for example.

There aren't that many jumper options offered, and credit mode is another setting you are interested in. The jumper for denomination of the game probably varied in what it does from game software to software. But hopefully the jumper for Credit Mode stayed the same since that would be something common to all game software. So trying one jumper for Credit Mode wouldn't be difficult, you can always remove it if it doesn't work.

The jumper options sheet shows that the jumper from pin 3 to pin 14 sets the denomination. So jumpering that may change it from the current 5 cent setting to something else, perhaps 25 cents. It all depends on how the game software that is in the machine now interprets the jumper block.

If you can read the labels on the socketed eproms that might give the game software name and version numbers, might be able to find out something that way. If it turns out that the jumper options don't give you the 25 cent option that you want you may be able to replace the game software with chips that are for 25 cent Jacks or Better.

Credit mode can only be accomplished by putting in different 000-7FF and 800-FFF chips.

But if your button panel does not have bet max, cashout, and bet one buttons you would need to replace that also.
Put a 8 position DIP switch in at D8 and flip individual switches on till you find 25c.
Leave the switch in.

Thank you everyone for your help. I just got my dip switch in today and closed #3 and it went from $0.05 to $1. So my guess is that my machine is programmed for $0.05 and it's going to take a chip to change it to $0.25.... Bummer

$1 setting for denomination would be cool - make it a high roller machine!   

That dipswitch you installed will still be handy, will let you change some of the options, including any options in another software set you may get.

Send a pm to badbaud, he might be able to provide you with another version of Jacks or Better that has the 25 cent denomination. May only have to change out 2 chips. If he doesn't have it I might be able to help, a lot of the older video poker software is available on the MAME websites.

And for credit mode did you try the dipswitch #2 setting for it?

You probably did this, but just to make sure-
For the dipswitch numbers to match up with the jumper settings on the options sheet posted earlier you need to install the dipswitch so that dipswitch position #1 is on the notched end of the socket.

Ya, I still have my tri voltage programmer.Been slowly reading tri voltage 000-FFF and converting them to single voltage then reading and storing for further reference.That way I can read a single voltage into the box and make a tri voltage.
Not sure if MAME has tri voltage capabilities.

TMS2716 tri voltage, they required +21, +5, and -5 to operate them.
