Title: Dynamic button updater
Post by: ChrisColumbus on May 26, 2023, 10:04:08 AM
Has anyone used CSV111 and updated their button panel? Using a windows 7 computer, the dynamic buttons turn blue when starting the program like they are ready to be updated, then if you click on the button panel from the CSV program you get the following error message. Anybody had any luck?

Ok I figured it out you have to use CSV113 on a windows 7 computer ;)

Thanks for posting your resolution for this problem.  I have the software, but haven't had a need to use it yet.  Did you have to update the button firmware so the machine would recognize and use the edgelit lighting features of the buttons?

I was running 8e already with my edgelits but I was hoping 11e would solve some of the problems with Hot Roll killing the button panel sometimes coming out of other games.  I am not sure yet if it will but we will see. It may have no effect, but 11e was released about a year later than 8e so there is something updated in it.

Yeah, I would be interested to see the results with this too.  I occasionally have the same issue with TDD Hot Roll.

I played Triple Red Hot 7's FG 25 and 5 Line and went back and forth to TDD Hot Roll. as of now no errors on the button panel. The only thing I noticed was same as before with my ring topper. When going from TRH7 to TDD HR, the ring light stops working. I go back to TRH7 and it comes back on like normal. I have to go to another game besides TDD Hot Roll like a regular 3r3c Game, THEN into TDD Hot Roll in order for my ring light topper to work. Seems like TDD Hot Roll does not have a reset command in the program to reset the ring light either. I have to get a newer version of CSV to update that because 113 does not have drivers for the topper light update. I am working on getting CSV 123, that should have the topper light updater available.

Ill keep playing and see if the button panel gives another error and will update later.

Interesting, thanks.  I have a glitter bar on my G23 without the topper.  Triple Red Hot 7's bonus round has the best edgelit LED colors and features than I've seen in any game so far.  The programmers did a really good job with the graphics and colors.

I don't have CSV123, but if you locate it I hope it can update the topper firmware for you.
