Keep the cashout button lit and wins should go to credit meter.

Not exactly sure what it is that you want the machine to do, but just because the label insert on the [Cash Out] doesn't say "Cash Out/Credits", it doesn't mean you cannot have credit wins accumulate on the display under "[CREDITS].
It's possible the bulb in the button may be burned out....it may still accumulate credits if you press the button once.

If you want the machine to "key off" the credits by using a Jackpot Reset key, you would need to change the hopper limits.
To do that, you have to make sure there are zero credits on the machine first.
Then you open the door, press the little white Test button.
That Test button could be in 3 places on an S+.
Right next to the Power Switch, behind the Power Switch box, or on the front of the MPU enclosure down by the door hinge....somewhat just on top of the two big white connectors for door harnesses coming straight out of the MPU enclosure.
You want to set the max # of coins your hopper will pay to a smaller number so that way you can key off the credits on the display with your Jackpot Reset key.
Now's a good time to go to this link,

https://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=18866.0;attach=53770

copy the S PLus Diagnostic Cards and go to option 7 on page 4, to change the amount your hopper pays out.

For example, if you set it to the amount of 40 credits, every time you hit the Cashout button when you have MORE than 40 credits, you can key off the credits with the key....any amount of credits of 40 or under, the hopper will pay it out.
This is just an example really because, if your hopper is using quarters, 40 credits equals a ten dollar roll of quarters.

my terminology is probably the problem

the machine ,,,only pays out /does not accumulate credits even when it hits no symbol it will pay out 2 credits 3 differant bar combo pays out of the hopper 15 credits

one single push on cash out button ,,,no change in game play checked switch with meter for continuity alls good

i will check to see what hopper limit is set out

thanx freddie

there is an key switch on the bracket where the board slides into on left side of machine near hinge
that has another keyed switch/other than reset key on outside of cabinet
when i got the machine it was strait up and down removed and replaced with a switch i have the key to turned it to the right and now credits accumulate like normal
\
thanx for your help guys

You should have gotten an open door "L" error on screen if that switch was not closed or bypassed.
