Any ideas where to start trying to get the side LEDs to work

When you first turn the machine on to boot up and the lights go through the test routine, do the side lights light up ?

Did the side lights used to work and stopped working, or did they never work since you got the machine?

Do the other lights go through the test routine at startup, one by one they flash each color?

Are the side lights plugged into the LCU (Light Control Board)?  All cables intact? Is the green LCU indicator light on solid, or is it blinking? If blinking, what pattern, one, two, three or four blinks?
