Mk 5 malfunction can anyone help?

a friend of me has a mk 5 and the slot gives a malfunction with the error: play disabled dgc
Only the demo mode runs

Has anyone an idea we’re the problem is? What can he do to solve this problem? Thanks

Sounds like a QCOM/Queensland machine which failed to phone home to its site controller.

Easiest way to "solve" the problem is to buy a LAB comms board (and some mechanical meters if the machine doesn't have any) and find/burn some NSW chips.

Also as Heihachi_73 said is the best, however you could run NZ mk5 games as they don't need a comms board, but still need meters. (NZ pay limits are capped to $500 so they are a bit boring but better than demo mode!).

Zingsi, Did you have any luck sourcing parts to rectify the problem,  I also have the same issue with a MKv Golden Pyramids Qld I just purchased.  Does anyone have a contact for the RAM flash for QCOMM, I thought I have read someone in NZ was doing them?
