Hello, I am starting to work with MK7 Viridian and I find myself having many problems when it comes to having technical information and knowing something about the philosophy of the brand when creating and configuring.
I ask you simple questions for those who know the brand that for me are necessary to know to understand Aristocrat.
1-What is the difference between a legacy game and another that has its number?
2-With a set chip of version 7.02.50 can I make a clear ram of a game of version linux 3.05.0??
3-If I don't have the parsheet of the game, is there a generic variation that always works?
4-In a European platform game, can I create it in dollars to play it in America? Or should it be from the USA platform?
5-With linux 3.04.xx version games Without the patch, how can I know if it is BAseX or multigame, or Reel 25 or any of the existing versions?
6- How is it possible to get info on a game without the parsheet, and if not, how can I get this info?

I could continue like this, I hope you understand that being new to a brand is a world that does not know how to undertake and trial/error is very difficult to hit
If you can help me, I will be very grateful and when you come to Spain, I promise to invite you to paella... best regards

I can't answer all your questions but some.

1.  Legacy games are basically emulated MKVI games that run on MKVII.  Aristocrat eventually released native MKVII games on most popular titles.
2.  Most setchips will allow you to choose earlier versions of the setchip (usually you choose from a few options) to match whatever game needs to be installed.  7.02.50 is too new for 3.05.0, but it may include 7.00.xx versions on your setchip.  You have to look at your available options.
3.  No generic variation that works, you have to select the game specific game type.  If you don't have a PAR file, then it just becomes a guessing game. You can also post a question on the forum, lots of people here can probably provide and answer that will work, most newer MKVII titles (not legacy) are BaseX Multigame. The other wildcards are whether or not they support multi-denom and the game variation supported (I usually guess either 99 or 1).
4. Not sure...
5.  This is the same as question 3, you need the PAR file or start guessing.
6.  Not possible to get info without par sheet, ask in forum, most of the times, you will get something that works.  Unfortunately PAR files are only made available to casino techs, so unless you know someone who is a casino tech and is willing to share them, you have to get lucky someone will the PAR file for the game you need and is willing to share it.

Thanks a million Rickhunter. It's just what I feared. Obtaining the PAR is very complex and you want to share it even more.
I appreciate the information, I will put the games in the forum that I need this information in case someone wants to help me.
Anyway, I appreciate your answer and your time in helping me-

Now I owe you a Valencian paella
Thx
