Gang:
This IGT Fortune 1 looks quite unusual. It only pays left to right, the front deck looks different but nice, the jackpot is HUGE for a 15 cent wager. With my old Bally EM's I was able to calculate the odds by #of stops and number of reels. With these video games how can you tell the pay out percentage.
Is this game and those jackpots common out West?

Please post photos if possible,
would like to see this machine.

Sorry. I don't know why the picture did not load. Will try again when I get home.
Big oops.

Here it is...

Interesting looking, I've never seen one of these,
does it have a different mpu than what is typical?

Thank you for your patience with my picture blunder. The internals and other shots. I wish I could start a new thread with the pictures so more folks could help solve the mystery.

Did this mystery get solved? I'm curious what it is. It seems to be something that may have started out as one thing and then altered to another game?

Skater:
There was no official answer from the group about this game. Most old timers tell me that big casinos like Bally, Caesars, and MGM had the ability to get custom jobs from the game manufacturers. Usually produced in low numbers they are hard to find.
Nothing is ill fitted on the game or cabinet that would indicate a Frankenstein job. The monitor is clear although the previous owner indicated to me that it had been serviced or changed altogether. The glass is beautiful and it plays without a hitch. It pays like a Bally 831 but this one adds up and pays out multiple hits on more than 1 line. If you get a cherry on line 1 and another cherry on line 3 you get paid 4 instead of 2 like the Bally.
Unfortunately my wife does not fancy this game and its for sale. I have to make room for either a coin operated roulette game, almost impossible to find, or a multi arcade game that plays Defender, Pac Man, Space Invaders and such. Yes I am addicted. LOL.
Great to hear from you

Hmmmm but if YOU like it, why can't it stay? :Scratch-Head:
Can you create a new slot machine room, for wife un-liked slots? :rotfl:

You are trying to get me jammed up from the neck up! Interestingly, my mother came to town from out of state. She LOVED this game. She is older and the handle is much easier to pull than the EM games. The old game may have "new life" after all. How could I break my mothers heart by seller her now favorite game? :rotfl:

Ha! Maybe your Mom has been on NLG and read this discussion about your machine, she's helping you out. :odie:
-
Yes this could be a clever trick by her in order to keep that machine!
But if it isn't, then you still will have to hold in the guilt if you let go of your mothers beloved machine, which will certainly break her heart. :CaptainHappy_worried:
How's that?? :rotfl:

Skater you put me between a rock and a hard place. Wife and Mother. Well IF I can find a coin operated Roulette Game then something DEFINITELY has to go. I think I had better get rid of one of my EM's. The 809 5 cent perhaps. Time will tell.
Thanks for your wise advice one and all.

Maybe you could keep the machine that your mother likes over at her house? That way you'd free up some space in your game room and she could play anytime she wants.
-
Actually, I did think of that. I might end up doing just that. The only snag in that plan is that she lives a 7 hour drive away from me. She will become hooked and I will be on the road for a bent coin. All options are open. I would love for her to enjoy it more often. Time will tell.

That is a long drive for a service call.
Maybe if you keep it long enough at your place and play it regularly then after a bit you would have confidence it is working solidly. Then hopefully it would be trouble-free at her house. As we know, sometimes when these things are moved some fresh problem happens and it would need to be dealt with.
