Ok I'll start from the beginning... Bought a triple Bonanza with a 12 code showing. Replaced the battery got the 61 code that wouldn't go away (maybe because the optics not working?) Reset the with the clear chip did what it was supposed to do but still wouldn't accept money or coins. I seen the the wire was broke on the cabinet side so I replaced both optics. I can see the door optic sending it's signal. So I did the 13-0/13-1 test and it just stayed at 13-0 no change. I even went as far as removing from the door and setting them side beside in side the cabinet by the reel and still not seeing each. I don't know what else to do at this point. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

After using a CLEAR chip on a machine you will need a SET chip to enable the bill validator. The CLEAR process resets the machine to default settings, which disables the bill validator. But that shouldn't affect coin acceptance.
When you replaced the door optics are you sure you got the optic tx and the optic receiver parts installed in the correct place. Unfortunately the connectors used are the same, but if the parts are reversed they won't work. Also, the door optics have to be aligned correctly so that they face each other when the door is shut AND latched. If the door optics are not working right then the machine will think the door is open, and it won't do much in that condition. It has to sense the door is closed in order to accept coins or bills and allow you to play.

I installed the bv chip as well. I have both optics in the right places . Like I said I tried 100 different alignments with them and still nothing. That's why I removed the optic from the door by pulling the wire leads back though the wire Loom and placing them inside the cabinet facing each other one the shelve.

Any one??? :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:

If I remember right the door optics wires are the Black, and Red, and the cabinet side should be Red, and White wires... Only other thing I can think to check are the pins on the MPU Edge Plug, to make sure none of the pins are bent and not connecting to the mother board..

Would a bad cpu board cause this problem?

Is there any way to bypass the door optic?

Is there any way to bypass the door optic?
Bypassing the door optics is not recommended. They need to be hooked up to clear errors etc. There are also optics on the cash can door. If these are still hooked up and the door is not closed, they will not let you proceed just as the main door optics would. Check those, and personally I strip the ends and wire nut or tape them together. That takes them out of possibly being a problem. The problem with having them on the shelf is that the optics need to show open before they show closed. I would reinstall them adjust them, make sure the cash can optics aren't causing a problem and then we can go step by step and see if we can find your problem. Let's start there and we'll see if we can get you going. Can we get a moderator to move this to S and S+ reel games? Thanks

To be clear, it's a microswitch on the cash can door, not an optical sensor pair.

Ok I put everything back the way it came from the factory. Still no luck with clearing the bottom candle light flashing. Made sure the cash box was put in correctly as well.

The bottom of the candle will not quit flashing until a paid credit is played. It only alerts casino staff that the door has been opened. Try putting a coin in and see if it plays. The door open flash will not stop the game from playing if the door is closed and latched and the optics are lined up.
