Title: What is supposed to hold the touchscreen to the monitor on a Game Maker

The touch screen seems to be held to the monitor with tape. Is this all that is supposed to hold it in place? I know the tape is old but the touchscreen keeps sliding off the monitor. I have already hat to soldier one wire back to the touch screen.

It is usually held on with black tape, much like masking tape.
Nothing special, you could probably use duct tape, but it will eventually dry up and fall off.
