Facebook, I contacted this guy and he said he wanted 1500.00 for all of them, said about half could be up a running with the other half good for parts, Westerville Ohio area, This could be a good deal for someone who knows how to fix these newer machines, some Ballys and some I have never seen before, Worth a look

..... said about half could be up a running with the other half good for parts.....
Makes me wonder why he didn't fix that half of them and sell each working one for $150-$200? With that many donor machines it doesn't take long to swap power supplies, mpu boards, etc and get some working. If you bought them for $1500 you'd have to sell 10-12 working machines just to get your investment back, plus do followup support on any that develop problems shortly after they get sold.

We can start another thread about what ALL these places get rid of after they rob them from what they need --Then to the Trash/scrap. It is a Shame on some. Matter of fact--I'll Start the topic since tomorrow is my B-Day. B>>>>>>>>>>

The $50 cost each is attractive. If your transporting costs weren't too much and you could get half them working then it could make you some money. But you gotta figure what your time spent is worth to you. Selling several piece parts from the machine will sometimes get you more than selling the entire machine. Plus selling the parts wouldn't get you tied into a lot of support effort after the sale like a machine will. It looks like a lot of glass is missing and some of the machines are less desirable even if working. His facebook ad indicated he was open to offers.
-
When I talked to him he really did not know much about them or what he had and he acted like he just wanted to get rid of them, I would say he is more than likely to take and offer... Good Luck

A lot would depend on what parts are missing, especially when you opened the main door and looked inside. From what you say you might be able to offer something less for say 10 machines, then go and look them over, pick out the ones most complete and no serious flood/rust damage inside. Maybe stick with IGT S+ and S2000 since there is probably more help available on them in case it is needed. It isn't hard to get an S+ or S2000 up and running provided you have good spare parts available.

If there was a more detailed list of machines, or even better pictures. I did message the seller, he said something about these machines coming from a Indian casino. My thought on that is that they may have been donor parts machine, used to keep other games running. Who ever buys those could be buying a bunch or broken used parts. Just my opinion.

If you have the room to store and a means to collect them I would throw out a bid for $1000 - he might bite. Looks like he has been sitting on them for a while.
I would still make it contingent that he has keys for the locks and I would want to apply power to a couple of them. Also make sure he helps you load them into your trailer.
When you are there I would look carefully at the sides of the machines for signs of water damage as many containers of machines were sold from the Katrina days out of Texas and Louisiana. Sigma Treasure tunnel and some of the other themes are not "fresh" off the casino floor - they have been out of circulation for a while.
From Casino Glass in Vegas (Frank, RIP) I have paid on average $65/sheet for glass in excellent condition and $50 for ones with minor edge scratches. So if you are planning on buying glass and such to bring these back to life you will be into these for a few bucks more. A quick perusal on FleaBay should give you an idea of the $$ associated with various parts regardless if you plan to part some of these out or buy new bits.
If you look at some of the vendor links off the main page - you can find Bally GameMakers (in excellent shape) go for $800+ so if you do one right you might be able to get the majority of your investment back in one sale. I would however be prepared to sit on this for a while as they don't exactly fly off the shelf at that price.
Sounds like a fabulous winter project

Seems that someone bought them.
-
Yes, they are sold. Hope they work out for whoever bought them.
By my rough estimate that is about 7,000 to 8,000 pounds of equipment to be moved.
We may be seeing a flurry of questions on NLG related to them. :garfield:

He sent me a message that he had 23 left at 50.00 each, just today
