Start by reading some of Rick's FAQ section for starters

Since you are contributing member you can access the Downloads section to download a particular machine manual some of the manuals have a key term list with definitions in some files.

www.rudysdeals.com (http://www.rudysdeals.com) also has a few manuals on it as well.

Maybe it might help if you tell us which machine you own so we can recommend what manuals to read to help get an understanding of terms and what they are.
Also reading various How To's and FAQ's for your particular machine and others will also help you understand what things are.

Even though I have a considerable computer background and good understanding of DC electronics, I don't always know the correct term for a part myself and some parts are named differently between slot machine manufacturers.
