At the VA hospital the other day, well hidden on the bulletin board was a call for all Vietnam Veterans who were in country and might have ingested liver flukes way back when either by being in rivers or rice paddies or drinking the local water untreated and oh ,by the way ,now might have a rare liver cancer ,cholangiocarcinoma a bile duct cancer that can take decades for symptoms to appear, It also looks like if you do have this it will be assumed you got it in service so at least your wife and kids will get something. And on a lighter note the VA has just decided that pain really is a compensatable issue all by itself .
