Hello all,
I received a Bally S5500 from a friend that won't turn on and am hoping you guys can help me figure out how to fix it.
No error codes or anything
The 25 cent light still works 😂
I'm assuming the best place to start is the PSU, especially since the 5v breaker was popped when I first opened it.
If anybody has some insight on potential other fixes, or a good replacement for the PSU, I'd really appreciate it!
:thank_you: :thank_you:

You can check here for a replacement PS for the 5500.

You could try to replace the caps, but cost of replacement is pretty cheap.
Jameco has good pricing and a 10% discount for new customers. You can probably grab 2 at those prices compared to the other 2 below.

Stay away from that 'auction' site, Digikey and Amazon may be an option, Jameco looks pretty good, they have been around a long time.
Lots of good info in the Bally reels forum.
Keep us posted on how things are progressing.
Tony
