I have a VLC machine. I changed some batteries and now I get a message saferam clear required with different color bars. Is it worth having it fixed or junk it. I know there are some members out there that have the almighty zero clear chip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a VLC Model 8825. The security pal chip is 004-1449. I had the board worked on from Slot Docs(Buddy) a few years ago. I only changed the batteries because I was getting a critical ram error, but I still managed to get the game to work after messing with it for a few minutes. I should have left it alone. I have extra boards for the machine with some extra security pal chips that I might sell if I decide to part out the machine. I like the machine with the different keno games on it. If anybody can help me reset the board(if its not to expensive)let me know, and if it is to expensive I will sell the extra boards and security chips. If for some crazy reason somebody has a extra zero clear chip that they want to sell let me know. There is probably a better chance of Elvis coming to my house for Christmas!!
