Title: Texas Tea Software issue
Post by: SilverFerret on March 20, 2014, 06:15:11 AM
Hello, I recently aquired the Igame software for Texas Tea
I000968
C0000802 x2
G0001670 x2
Dss00229

Issue is, it errors with a message something like "check or replace snd rom".
I've searched the old site and it does seem to have a Texas Tea snd rom but I didn't find a set listed that has the same combination of eproms/simms.
Can anyone verify if it's correct in its software combination and what my issue might... bad snd simm?
Thanks, Jim

Jim I have two sets of files and they are both different than yours. I can tell you that I0000968 is Texas Tea because I have the PRS for it. Sound simm I have is a DSS00025, but DSS00229 is a Texas tea simm.

You can play your game without a Sound simm installed. If it's telling you the sound simm is bad, give it a try without any sound simm.

Thanks Buzz, I'll try that and let you know. If it works without the sound Simm, might it just be the wrong one for that set?
Thanks, Jim

Okay Buzz,
Texas Tea works fine without the SND Simm. If you know which one I need and have one, can you give me a price and I'll buy one off you?
P.S. I think you know already but I can confirm I000968 is Multi-denom. I believe there was discussion about this in an old thread.
Thanks, Jim

Like I said I have two different sets of files for Texas Tea and both of them are different than the set you have. Matter of fact one set I have is a Tournament game. From what little bit I've played it it's just like the regular game, you can use money or you can turn on the Tournament mode.

Sound simm I have is a DSS00025 I'll put it in tomorrows mail.  Did you check the dip switches on that simm ?? They should all be OFF.

Yep, checked the switches. They are off. We'll see if the one you send works. If so, you can catalog this as a set I guess.
Thanks Buzz, let me know what I owe you, Jim

Good deal.  The game wouldn't be the same without hearing Texas Ted :rotfl:
