People ought to put a relevant SUBJECT in the subject line, rather than:
"Need help with slot"
"Slot doesn't work"
"Help needed"
...and so on, and so on, and so on.
Here are my reasons why:
1. You might get quicker help if you put in something like "Bill validator issue" or "Won't take coins" "Getting error code 60." There might be an expert in that particular problem area and they will respond. Otherwise it may get skimmed over.
2. AND... someone might have this problem later. It's IMPOSSIBLE to see the problem when you have 32 pages (or maybe 5) pages of subject lines that all say the same damn thing: "need slot help" I'm REALLY grateful to those that put in stuff like "Bill validator - rollers aren't grabbing" or something ANYTHING to that effect.
I wish this was an NLG "rule" that new people MUST sign before being allowed to become members. I wish I could "tag" all the members to read this.

I know what you mean. But sometimes new people don't quite understand the protocol to get help here. This is a really involved site. I personally screwed up a few times trying to get posts right. Maybe we need a newbies alert to state which part of your machine has a problem. Getting in the wrong category is normal for being new. But listing the problem will get more responses from knowledgeable people. I hope to be one of those someday. :duh: Maybe they will read this and help us help them. Good to talk to you again.

I'm not so much perturbed about the lack of info in the title, what gets me is the lack of responsibility in searching out the archived messages for the problem you are experiencing BEFORE posting a new topic of an issue that has been asked and answered multiple times already. Very easy to do, go to forum topics and do a search. If nothing helps you with your problem, THEN post a new request.
