I need some educating Please. On my Silver & Gold S5500 I have a choice to put a jumper clip on J9, RS-232 or RS-422. On all my other machines it’s on The RS-232. What’s weird to me is there isn’t even a jumper there, and the machine works fine. I didn’t see anything in any posts or manuals. Could this be how the machine communicates with a “host terminal” or something like that in a Casino? My main concern is, Do I even need it on any of these machines?
