Met a member at a Casino yesterday..., I popped a $20 in and had $40 in free play, this was hit within the first 60seconds of playing! I was back in my truck driving home before I finished a tic-tac.. Not too shabby.

(Still no JP, Dale..... )

Have a great wkend, Y'all!!!!!!  :cool_thumb_up:

Was pretty bored yesterday so I convinced the Mrs. to go the Eureka Casino in Mesquite. Playing nickle five play poker I hit several 4k's on bonus deluxe poker. Took my winnings over to five play with the bonus wheel. After about $40 in DoubleDouble switched to Jacks or Better to make my money last. Then I hit the win below!  :propeller:
Switched to TripleDouble and later hit four dueces with a five. Damn, no kicker! But I did get another 750 nickles on the wheel spin.
Pretty good day for taking less than a $100 to the casino!

I'm a real sucker for multi-hand with the bonus wheel.
Does anyone know how they interface with the 3902 board? Any of these available?? Would be cool to have one.   :drool04:

Nice. I've never seen a bonus wheel on multi-hand poker before, and I like it already.

Nice. I've never seen a bonus wheel on multi-hand poker before, and I like it already.
They are not out there in large numbers, but they are out there. In Vegas I play them at The Cannery on Craig Rd. In Laughlin the Golden Nugget has them, and in Mesquite, the Eureka has a few. There are basically two types.
WHEEL POKER
The first is like the one pic'd above, it gives a wheel spin for each four of a kind. If your playing five play and hit a four of a kind on a draw, then you get five spins on the wheel. Originally the wheel had a top jackpot of 2000 coins, but it seems like in the last year they came out with the progressive MAJOR & MINOR jackpots replacing the 2000 and 1000 coin wins. Some machines are upgraded to the progressive and some not.

WHEEL POKER DELUXE
The other type has a bonus game if you hit a three of a kind or better on the initial draw. You spin the wheel to see what bonus game you play. Bonus games include Three hands that are four to a royal, or ten hands three to a royal. Also, there is 100 play four to a flush. The amount of flushes hit determines the win amount.
If you google wheel poker or wheel poker deluxe you can find more explanation from IGT or WizardofOdds.

The cost of the bonus wheel is one extra coin per hand played.

I like the sound of the wheel poker deluxe even more, I'll have to hunt these things down next time I'm in NV!

I hit the jackpot on this machine on a cruise I was on last month (night before the pic) but didn't have my cell with me.

Got 3 White Hot Wilds for $1500.  Too this pic on my way off the ship.  Had an excellent last night on the cruise...won 2nd place in slot tourney for $435, then hit Bar 7 - Bar 7 - 5X pay on another dollar slot for $500, then this one for $1500.  Didn't want to leave!

I've never seen or heard of this slot before that night.

The only place I had ever seen a sequential RF machine was at Sams Town.  Sams Town still has some decent VP machines.  I was Playing a 9/6 Jacks or Better game at Sams Town.  You don't see those pay schedules around much anymore.  Long gone are the 10/7 pay schedules.   Casino's are really getting greedy with the VP machines.  Even the old 10/7 pay schedules are money makers for the casino for 99 + percent of the people playing them.  It is only the VP pro's that could make a little money if they played it every day, all day long for Months at a time.

I believe that all of the Station casinos in Las Vegas (Boulder, Palace, Texas, Sunset, Santa Fe, Green Valley Ranch, and Red Rock Resort) all have some sequential royal machines (they label them as "Reversible Royals").

If you're serious about video poker, you need to check out vpFREE2.com (http://www.vpfree2.com/), which lists the best pay schedules available at nearly every casino.  It's a great resource, and has helped me find some good paytables at casinos where I otherwise thought there was nothing playable.

I have not been to any of the Station Casinos in several years (No More Free Shuttles from the Strip to these properties).

Love Video Poker ... Been playing and practicing (Bob Dancers WinPoker 6) for nearly 20 years. I have BDWP 6 on my work computer as well, and I play just about every day during my lunch break!
I practice with the local casinos pay schedules (which you can enter in BDWP) for DB, DDB and TDB. I also play Deuces Wild occasionally.  I very rarely make errors on the games I play all the time.
I use to practice the Atlantic City Jokers Wild for a while, but found that game to be much to complicated to remember all of the best play combinations to ever be good at it.  I would have to say that out of all the games I had ever practiced, AC JW has to be the most complex for remembering the Best play for each hand at a given pay schedule.
I had forgotten about vpFREE2.com  :duh:   Thanks for the reminder!  :cool_thumb_up:    My home base Casinos are the Seneca properties, which never have very good pay schedules.    I have to settle for the best they have.

Uniman, that's once in a LIFETIME!!!  I've never hit it, so I'm due my once in lifetime.  :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :hissyfit:

A 649,740 to 1 shot, I believe. My wife's first royal was a drawn royal, about two years ago after I got her to start playing video poker. I finally caught up to her, and actually it was better since it was triple play. She always one up's me so we'll see what she hits next.  :rotfl:

After I hit it went to the casino across the street, The Virgin River, and played their progressive triple play in nickles. There, a drawn royal or three royals pays the progressive which was just over $2500. Now what would the chances be to be drawn a royal twice in the same day? Well, I had drawn 10, J, Q, and  K of clubs in that order. Missing the ace!!  :hissyfit:  Didn't get anything after the discard. But ohhhh so close!

Great hit.  I hit one about 12yrs ago in a indian casino near fresno california while visiting relatives.   It was dealt to me and paid the progressive.  The down side is someone had prviously hit it, so it paid $78.00.  I would have gotten much more for just straight flush.   Talk about a kick in the balls.

Congratulations on your W-2G!

The first time I got a handpay it was $1000 in Lake Tahoe. The woman remarked as she paid me "good thing you don't have to pay taxes". I chuckled and said "yeah" but at the time I didn't realize what she meant. A couple of years later I'm on Freemont St. and hit for $1225. So they come over and say "we need your social security number". I was SHOCKED that taxes would be involved and learned the ropes at that point. I try to think of W-2G's as an award for a job well done, a certificate of achievement  .

Congrats.   :applause:
The lesson i learned from hitting $1300 at Twin rivers in RI  last year was cumulative earning from a bonus round trigger the taxes also.  Meaning if you hit a single spin jackpot for $1200 your screwed, if you hit a bonus round like i did and the total winnings from the bonus round hit $1200 or greater your screwed.
Title: Re: Casino Jackpots
Post by: rickhunter on January 28, 2015, 07:03:40 PM
The rule is, if on a single play, you earn over $1,199.99 then you get W2g.  The bonus round is part of your single spin, even if the bonus round entails "free spins" it is still all started by your single wager.

Now if you have a players card and can have the casino print out your losses (which I was told can be done), can that cover the taxes come tax time? Say I lost $1501 then hit this $1501, would that null it out?

Or should I run for the hills and live off the land so the tax man doesn't come battering down my door? Ha!

I was told about the win loss statement while cashing out by the cashier.  However, you cant claim more losses than earning and i believe i was told that the win loss would only be valid for loss on that day of the hit.  For what reason, i have no idea.  What ever the case is, we all lose out.
Ive never gotten the win loss statement, i honestly think i would seriously ashamed of myself looking at a years worth of damage.

What bothers me is when you have a state lottery  hit and they deduct the taxes from the check issued and you still have to list it on your taxes as income.

Yep, but you can only claim losses equal to the amount of your taxable winnings (so win $2,500, claim $2,500 in losses). For losses, just use the ATM or cash a check each time before walking out of a casino, especially when you've hit something that year. IRS has been allowing gambling losses LONG before Player Tracking statements.

So... A fellow NLG member went to Laughlin.. I sent him $100 and he put $100 into a $25 WOF.. Expecting a 60 second loss....

1st spin, $125 win.
2nd spin, $125 win.
3rd, $50 win plus the SPIN!
Spin, $875!

SWEET! Now off to the $10 WOF while trying to even the ticket to $1100.

Hit $200
Hit $100
Then SPIN for $600.

$200 turned into $1900 in about 7 minutes, all while on the phone with him, mobile gamblin'. Cheers!  :cool_thumb_up:

Ok, no pics because I sat there watching with a stupid look on my face, but on Oct 12 I was at Mandalay Bay playing a ZUMA machine, they only have 2. Put a $20 in and after 30 minutes or so I'd played down to almost $10, up to almost $25 and was at $18.30 betting 50 cents a pull when I got a screen with mostly wilds and a few symbols on the screen. Right away this mystery bonus starts with a coin slowly spinning on the screen. it's a multiplier and it's rotating from 15 to 30 and stops on 30. I thinking this should be fairly good. LOL, by time that son of a bitch finished rolling up my 50 cent bet was a $537.00 win. Not enough to retire for sure, but damn decent for 50 cents

Another 'mobile' gambling session.. $200 to $940 (cashout) on good ol Wild Thing.

My gambling addict NLG member friend was at the casino last night, ppal'd him a hundie and poof, 9 hundie.. I rarely see ANY 12x symbols pop up, but I guess the Wild Thing was putting out.

Old thread, but I wanted to post a couple of my jackpots  :applause:

These were on a Carnival Cruise ship in November of 2016.

Impressive!  Especially considering how notoriously tight cruise ships set their machines.

Apparently the week after I got off the ship, the same machine hit 20k 2 more times on the same cruise.  Not sure if they set the % wrong, but I like it!

I didn't find a thread dedicated to this.  I could have sworn there was one, maybe in the older site.  So I'm starting one here since I took my mother to the local casino today and I hit something cool.  I played my favorite Aristocrap theme Sky Riders and I hit this.  Not exactly high stakes, but I've never gotten a screen full of wilds before. 90 cent bet, $150 win.  I actually came out ahead $230 today, first time in a LOOOONNNNNGGG time.

Not a huge hit but I did hit the 1000 credits on a Wheel of Fortune in Laughlin last week.
