Title: DIP switches?
Post by: Badbaud on January 05, 2018, 12:11:50 AM
I can't seem to find any documentation on what the DIP switches on a PE+ are used for.
I have encountered a situation where I can set the credit limit on a multi game board to 9999
but another multi board with the very same software does not have a set credit page at all.
On both boards all DIP switches are off so I am suspecting a DIP switch setting is not allowing a max credit setup and that the sound chip, that reads the DIP switches, is somehow defective.
Warped logic?

My memory about it is that the dipswitch on a PE+ is not used, the software does not look at the dipswitch, except maybe for the one switch that sets 50hz/60hz input power. Don't know why they left the dipswitch on the board, unless it was only for that input power freq selection. But that doesn't explain what you are seeing with the 2 boards so I'm not sure.

On the PE (non-plus model) I think the dipswitch was used for various settings like you mention.

Someone more familiar with the PE/PE+ models will probably say for sure.
