Title: Bettor TITO WMS BB issue
Post by: Yoeddy1 on September 02, 2019, 07:33:25 PM
Hi guys,[/size]Got a strange issue that recently crept up on my BB2/3 machine.  For some reason it doesn’t want to take tickets any longer.  It stopped working with my NXT3.2 MPU and I tested it with other games too...no luck.  To rule out the MPU, I tested my NXT2 MPU with a couple of games and other operating systems.  Same issue.  Can you remind me which lights are supposed to show up and colors of the lights? I see one green LED which will flicker if I disconnect the serial cable.  Solid if connected.  I have one red light from what I can tell.  I also held down the button for 30 seconds, and the USB cable is connected to it’s own power source on the surge protector and not the MPU.Any thoughts as to what could be going on or troubleshooting? Thanks,Jason

Is it just the one Tito board, do you have another one to rule out the serial port on the backplane?  You may also want to check the connection between the serial daughtercard and the arduino.  It is basically 4 pins that need to be connected, just make sure none of them are loose or broken.  The lights are different because the vendor has used different versions of the rs-232 board.

Thanks, Rick.  Yep, I reached down into the rat’s nest of wiring on the motherboard and gave the serial cable a wiggle down by the port.  Sure enough, it came back to life.  There’s an additional green LED on the TITO now that was off before.

Cable or port at this point it looks like.

Thanks for the help!  Hope you’re doing well.
