Title: Need Some Advice On Fixing 2 x CPUs for my Bally 22/22s
Post by: sakwilla on May 26, 2023, 04:59:59 AM
Hey all,
Sorry for the numerous posts. Just been off with COVID and just enjoying the opportunity to play my slot games. I posted previously that one of my Bally 22/22s keeps restarting. I decided to try and fix it and in the process I now have two CPUs that dont work.

I thought I would remove the CPU that restarts from the machine and remove the other CPU from the 22/22 that works normally and swap the video cards. I was hoping that maybe the reason why it restarts and if i install a different video card and it doesnt restart than thats the problem.

I then put the CPU in and turned it on and all worked normally. Late that evening I pulled out the CPUs and swapped the Video Cards so they were put in their original CPUs and put them both back into their machines and neither work. They both come up with the no signals. I have checked things tried different things and still no luck. I know I am useless and when I try to investigate or fix things I always fail and now have broken them

Is there any advice on how to fix the CPUs without having the spend hundreds of dollars getting them serviced. I live in Australia so the process is sooo expensive and just cant afford it.

I have tried swapping the Video Cards and no luck. I also took out the CPU for a 22/32 that I have that works and put that video card into both machines and neither worked so I know the Video Cards are not the issue.

I have noticed now that one of the CPUS when I plug the power in - the fan on the video card and the fan where the siver box on the cpu dont work. Not sure if  I can do something to get the power on again?

The other both fans on the cpu work but nothing else does. I put the Video Card from the 22/32 that i know works into this cpu and put it into the machine and it doesnt work so not sure if its a part of the board thats broken.

I hope that all makes sense. I try to fix things myself althought I have no tech experience. i love this forum as the help and support is great! I am happy to send an Aussie Care Package or $$$ like I have before to anyone who can help me out. I truly appreciate the people on this forum :)

Have attached some photos as not sure if anything wrong can be seen. Any help is truly appreciated.
