bally 1081 5 reel medalist, not working, but need to change nasty power cord first. its got odd wiring, the jackpot switch is wired to a fuse and the hot leg on the cord. that looks shady to me. also, is a wiring diagram available? i have the mead book, but nothing for a 1081 in it. thanks

Glad to help.

That doesn't look good, it might be a clandestine on off switch. I use wall plug in switches for my slot machines keeping everything factory.

Typical wiring on the primary side.

I agree with David, no good can come from jury rigged wiring. Rip all that out and reinstall your microswitch with a key. I have those long barrel locks if you need one. As far as your line cord wiring this is what i saw in my medalist,Black lead to fuse all the way to the right, blackwire to post with black wire.Red wire to other pole on fuse holder.White wire from a.c. line to left fuse next to farmost right fuse.white wire to pole with white wire already on it.blue and white wire to other pole. green ground to cabinet. Good luck ,the wizard.

the wiring turned out to be the easy part. that key switch was a fugazy on/off switch. running the wire from the cord to the fuse holder let the machine work. its not paying out, im going to start a new thread for that.
thanks

paperwork for a 1081-1 is in https://bingo.cdyn.com/slots/
if you have a different model 1081, then the reel wiring stuff may be very different but most of the rest will be close. Post the top number on the serial number plate below the handle and I'll see if I have the paperwork ... or better matching paperwork.

If that is the original 110V power cord that plugs into the wall, you need to check it out to see if it's safe to use. I install new power cords in all of my slot machines.
The cam lock, it's a chrome, National cam lock, 1 1/8" long, I have these set-up on two slot machines, I restored them using the factory keys, factory locks.
