Can someone tell me what type of BV this is? It is currently in an S2000 and has stopped working.

that's a Mars(MEI) bill acceptor.

I have a lot of JCM type do youi think it would be better to just change it all out?

there is a switch on the right side of the unit, when changed to the other position, the bill acceptor bezel lamps will blink, the only thing I had go wrong with these units: there is a interact with the cash can assembly, when the transport is pushed in, there is a plastic bar that will pivot in the back and interact with the stacker. I have seen this plastic piece break and it would not see the stacker, thus stop working.

I guess that would be your call, depends on where the machine is going, and if you would have to support it afterwards? there are not many of the units around for spare parts (not that I have come across) occasionally. I Like them for the fact that they act like a UBA and suck in the money.

I'll take a look at it. It is at a friends house It may be a few weeks till I get there. He said it is intermittant and that it does not sound correct on the boot. He said he cleaned it but the same result.
I'm thinking a transport problem. It used to accept old $50s but not new $100s or $50s but he was OK with that.
