Title: Featured "Banner" supporting vendors?
Post by: SolidSilver on February 23, 2015, 09:21:35 PM
As a dedicated NLG member, I like to help wherever I can, including patronizing the supporting vendors
with banner ads on the Home Page.

Hmmmm...
TopHat79 SlotSales has given me an eBay "This vendor does not exist" response for many months.
and SlotMachinePartsStore, also an eBay merchant, has had only one item for sale for ages, and only
really obnoxious feedback within the last year.

Further, neither of these vendors has shown any NLG site activity in recorded history, according to the provided link.

How exactly are these vendors "vetted;" and does anyone check them on a regular basis?
I really want to support the site, and those vendors who do as well, but I am beginning to question.......???

TopHat79 (Randy) is a good friend of mine that works at Slot Machines LTD in Ohio owned by Terry and run by Chris Day. He has been there over 14 years and is
Warehouse Manager and full time Tech. His co-worker is April and she has been there the same amount of time. He use to sell a lot of game kits but evidently has stop for now.
He rarely gets on the forum as he is tied up with all his responsibilities.

Slot Machine Parts Store.com is out of Redondo Beach, CA. Sorry I don't know them but maybe someone can chime in.

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong, but slotmachinepartsstore is commonly known as LA Slots. They used to do batch dumps on ebay back when a guy named Roger was still there. By batch dumps, I mean every once in a while they would put a bunch of stuff on and when it was gone maybe they'd put more or maybe it would be a while. Anyway, I believe they are more of a wholesale/overseas seller and since Roger left you don't see them around a lot anymore. I got quite a few nice parts from them in the past and they were reasonably priced

I have nothing but good things to say about Slot Machine Parts Store/ LASLOTS. They seemed to get a bad rep from time to time but I have ordered several Bally/WMS items, including an MPU and have NEVER once had an issue with anything they sent me. They are still posting a lot of Bally kits on ebay for the last couple of months. Follow them on ebay and keep checking.

Many A++++ vendors I have done business with are not listed as an NLG vendor. And there are a few on the homepage I will never buy from for one reason or another (doing business as another name, bad parts, and worst of all grumpy old ass guys...lol

I support this site, but do business with people who are happy to help you out and very humble and send you good parts. Be a smart shopper regardless if they are on the home page or not. AND DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!...hahaha
