Title: AC Coin
Post by: Colorado on July 05, 2015, 06:00:35 PM
Hello,
Wondering if anyone would possibly have a manual or any documents involving an AC Coin Slot.
I am also looking for a set of game chips or the data files,  for an AC coin Slot.
Game is Slotto.  I will attach a few pictures.
Thank you.... Colorado

Colorado I tried to PM you. Your inbox is full. I will post here in the meantime.  Looking at your post for AC Coin machine. Wondering if you were able to locate any info for the AC Coin?I bought a AC Coin Happy Slot as a nonworking machine and was looking for the settings for these machines. I have it running to a point where the settings are not correct and throws an error. "Bonus Display Error" I'm thinking the Bonus feature is not enabled and needs to be enabled? Thank YouTim

No the top box is not lit up. My error message shows "Bonus Display Error" I think the top box is the bonus unit that the message is referring to? And In the menu it shows "Bonus Display Disabled" I don't know which set chip I need to make changes in the menu. to enable the "Bonus Feature" . And do not know what the other settings need to be set/changed?

I don't want to hijack the thread, but I do have some ideas.  Your game is just like the ones we used to have before AC coin went out of business, we just had different themes.

First off, I'm 80% sure that the setting in the game setup for bonus display device, has nothing to do with the top box that AC coin added to the cabinet.
Second, the top box monitor should always have power if the game is on.  If it isn't communicating it will show an error on that little screen, but it would still be on.  So you need to figure out why it isn't coming on.  I forget what they called the controller behind that monitor, but check and see if a power cable is unplugged from it.  If I remember correctly there should be an orange wavy looking plug with 2 or 4 wires that provides power.

And topeople... gotta love autocorrect...

The top box does momentarily cycle. So it has power. And I changed the board with battery behind the upper unit.  The lower unit is now showing errors. It was showing denomination was not set. I set that then it showed another setting was not set.  I set that . And now I'm at the " Bonus Display Error" and can not get past that setting that needs to be changed. Do you have access to any AC Coin info leftover not being used any longer?  Thank You Tim

Unfortunately I don't have any documentation for them.  Since you mentioned the game had a denom not set error, it sounds like it was RAM cleared and keychipped.  Once that happens you have to set your accounting and player denoms, then the game selection (hold percentage) and then your comm options and credit limits (if you didn't want the default).

When you changed the board behind the top display did you remove the battery from the replacement board and let it clear itself? In addition to that,   one of the causes for the bonus display error in our old games was a 5v/12v power supply in the power distribution box going bad.  That power supply provides the 5v for the comm boards, which communicate with player tracking, progressive controller (if not using the built in) and the top box. A quick spot check for that is to see if your interior cabinet light comes on when you open the door, though that just tells you if the 12v output is working.

The S2000 cabinet by itself isn't too difficult to get working, but the AC coin add on parts complicated things a bit.

We had that error from the small screen up top not functioning.  Might be tough to find one of those.  We no longer carry the machines either.

I'm still in search of the correct  KEY chip . And the settings after Key chip. I did replace the AC Coin board battery in the upper cabinet. I have changed the IGT power supply behind the reels . I am further ahead after changing the upper  cabinet AC Coin board. I think once it's  keyed and  settings are set after the key it may work? Thanks!
