Getting a 504B or 530 MPU would be the best solution for machines with 50x MPU For the home user the fix is to use a 10K pot on each speaker if you have stereo sound or if you have mono sound a single 10K pot will work depending upon how your machine is wired. If you have a Vision machine, a 47K resistor on the output side of the LCD will quiet the hum down. You need to use 1/2 watt or better components. A 1/4 watt pot or resistor will burn out. It has been stated by many that the best sound is achieved with a volume of 6 or 7 on the machine. If one uses the 10k pots it is best to set the level in the menus first and then adjust the pots for the desired volume to get the lowest signal to noise ratio. |
